A School Built Around the Work, Not Around the Hype
Tensora was built by practitioners who wanted a more grounded way to learn AI development — one focused on skills you can actually use, developed through study and practice over time.
Back to HomeWhere We Come From
Tensora was founded in Bangkok in 2022 by a small group of developers and data practitioners who'd spent years noticing a gap: there were plenty of online resources for learning about AI in theory, but very few that walked learners through actual coding work with the kind of feedback you'd get from a colleague.
We started by running small cohorts for working professionals — people switching careers or adding to an existing technical background. From that experience, we shaped the three-course structure that Tensora offers today: a clear progression from first principles to an applied project you can show as part of your portfolio.
The name Tensora comes from the word tensor — the fundamental data structure that underpins most of modern machine learning. We liked that it pointed directly at the substance of the work, not the mythology around it.
How We Think About Learning
We don't believe in shortcuts. AI development takes real study — you need to understand what you're doing, not just copy-paste code until something runs. Our courses are built to be honest about that.
At the same time, we've seen how much faster people progress when they have someone to look at their work and respond with specific, useful notes. That's why every course includes a feedback loop — weekly for the first two courses, and scheduled mentoring sessions for the Applied AI Mentorship programme.
We keep cohorts manageable so instructors can actually read what learners submit. We adapt materials based on what learners ask about. And we try to be straightforward about what each course covers and what it doesn't.
What Tensora Stands For
Structured Progression
A clear path from beginner to portfolio-ready, with each module building on the last — no filler, no confusing jumps.
Honest Framing
We describe what you'll learn and what it takes to learn it. Completing a course develops skills — how you use those skills is up to you.
Genuine Support
Feedback comes from people who've worked in the field, and the mentorship programme pairs you with a practitioner throughout your project.
The People Behind Tensora
A small group of practitioners and educators based primarily in Bangkok, with backgrounds in software engineering and data work.
Kanya Pattanapong
Curriculum Lead
Data engineer with eight years of industry experience. Designed the course structure and oversees the feedback process for all three programmes.
Nattawut Srisuk
Lead Instructor — ML
Develops and teaches the Hands-On Machine Learning course. Has led data science projects for logistics and e-commerce teams in Southeast Asia.
Ariya Wongchai
Mentorship Coordinator
Coordinates the Applied AI Mentorship programme and matches learners with mentors. Former software developer with a focus on ML tooling.
How We Maintain Quality
Reviewed Curriculum
Course content is reviewed and updated twice a year to reflect changes in the tools and practices we teach.
Instructor Feedback
All submitted work is reviewed by an instructor — not automated. Notes are specific to what was submitted, not generic responses.
Data Privacy
Learner data is handled in line with applicable privacy regulations. We don't share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Manageable Cohorts
We limit cohort sizes to keep feedback meaningful. If a course intake is full, we'll let you know and offer a spot in the next available cohort.
Responsive Support
Questions submitted during office hours receive a response within one business day. We're reachable by email and phone.
Outcome Transparency
We're open about what our courses do and don't cover. Completing a course builds specific, documented skills — we don't overstate what that means for any individual learner.
Technical Education in AI Development
AI development as a discipline covers a wide range of skills — from the basics of writing Python code to the more involved work of preparing data, selecting models, evaluating outputs, and iterating on results. Each area takes time to develop properly, and the connections between them only become clear through practice.
Tensora's curriculum is designed around that reality. The AI Programming Essentials course builds the foundational layer — learners work through Python, data structures, and the logic behind how learning systems operate. Hands-On Machine Learning then develops the next layer, taking learners through the practical work of building, testing, and refining models using real datasets. The Applied AI Mentorship programme ties everything together in a single, sustained project supported by a practitioner mentor.
Our courses are delivered entirely online, which makes them accessible to learners across Thailand and the wider region. Studying part-time alongside other commitments is the norm for most of our learners, and our materials are structured with that in mind.
Bangkok serves as our operational base, and our team is available by phone and email during standard office hours. Enquiries are welcome from learners at any stage — if you're unsure which course suits your background, we're happy to help you think it through.
